================================================================ D A S -- DTMF ACCESSORY SQUELCH ERRATA INFORMATION 951105/Iss-1 ================================================================ Paul Newland, ad7i Post Office Box 205 Holmdel, NJ 07733 ad7i@tapr.org INTRODUCTION ------------------------------------ Below is errata information regarding the DAS system described in //QST//, December, 1995, pages 25-31. QST ARTICLE ------------------------------------ No problems have been identified with the data as published in QST. AUDIO LEVEL ------------------------------------ The audio level recommended in the Circuit Description of the QST article (800 mVpp, 300mVrms) is well within the range of the DTMF decode IC and provides a good compromise in most situations. However, if it's likely that radio used to drive DAS will be subject to large upward changes of the volume control, you might consider setting the the audio at TPAV to be no more than 2.0 volts peak-to-peak (700 mVrms) when the radio's volume control is set to the most likely maximum position. ---ooOoo---
